For the third year in a row, Mr. Taylormade & the Taylormade Band were crowned Best R&B Artist at the NELA Music Awards — a streak that shows no signs of slowing down.
This year also brought a brand-new honor: Best Music Teacher, recognizing Mr. Taylormade’s passion for mentoring and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
Always nominated across multiple categories, the band’s consistency is a testament to their artistry, energy, and impact both on stage and in the community.

International Blues Challenge in Memphis
Mr. Taylormade Comes Away As A Semi-Finalist
"We are thrilled to congratulate Mark "MrTaylormade" Taylor for his remarkable success in the world of Blues music. Mark recently won the Ouachita River Blues Society (ORBS) Blues Challenge, earning the honor of representing Louisiana at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) which took place in Memphis, TN the second week of 2025. This event saw over 200 bands and solo/duo acts from around the world competing for the coveted title of Best International Blues Act. Mr. Taylormade advanced to the semi-finals - a testament to his extraordinary talent, dedication, and the deep soul he brings to every performance regardless of genre. The IBC is world known for spotlighting the best in emerging and established Blues talent. Mr. Taylormade's standout performance firmly established him as an up and coming powerful voice in the international Blues community. This accomplishment not only brings pride to Louisiana's vibrant blues scene, but also highlights Mr. Taylormade's inspiring journey as an artist devoted to the craft, culture, and heritage of the blues. Congratulations to him! He represented Northeast Louisiana well and made the Ouachita River Blues Society very proud!

Memphis Here We Come!
Mr. Taylormade competed in, and won the local round of the Blues Challenge. He will go on to represent Northeast Louisiana at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN in January 2025.
